The U13 girls are having a fantastic season so far, winning 3 out of the 4 Eastern Young Athletes meetings. At the meeting where they came 2nd, they only missed out on 1st position by 3 points! In the East Anglian League they have dominated both meetings with comfortable wins. 21 girls have represented the club so far with super attitudes and performances from all athletes!
The reason for such great results is our strength in depth throughout all the events. Here are our fantastic Top 10 rankings in the East of England of some of our girls!
In the field events: Zoe Powers is ranked number 1 in the shot (9.49) & discus (26.28). Eden Harrison is ranked 4th in the javelin (25.41) and 9th in the discus (18.18) & shot (7.80). In the long jump Holly Harrison is ranked 3rd (4.59), Martha Bennett 6th (4.36) & Isabelle Moore 7th (4.34).
On the track Isabelle Moore is ranked 9th in the 100m (13.6) and 2nd in the 200m (27.3). Joining her in the 200m top 10, Holly Harrison is ranked 10th (28.6). In the middle distance; Madeline Short is ranked 7th (2.32.1) in the 800m and in the 1500m Grace Jermy is ranked 6th (5.14.9), Grace Forster 9th (5.16.0) and Madeline 10th (5.16.5)
Our relay team of Annabelle Joynson, Olivia Porter, Isabelle and Eden are ranked 2nd (55.8) behind Bedford & County (55.6).
Special mention to Zoe and Isabelle who are ranked in the top 10 in the U.K. Zoe 4th in the discus and 7th in the shot and Isabelle is 10th in the 200m.
