JOIN CoNAC

City of Norwich AC is a competitive athletics club. Throughout the year the club competes in a variety of events, including track and field, cross country and road running.

The club expects that members train regularly and are willing to make themselves available to compete for the club.

If you want to train or compete with CoNAC, you must become a member. Membership fees help fund our activities and also include the required registration with England Athletics.

NEW MEMBERSHIP ENQUIRIES

Road Running: please click the Road Running button on the left hand side of this page to get in touch. We operate a 30-day free trial membership so that you can try a few sessions before committing to full membership.

Track & Field (School Year 7 and older, including adults): There is a waiting list to join our club, and for some events, the wait may be several months, for others it may be very quick. Capacity is limited by available facilities and coaching staff, and everyone involved in the club, including coaches, are volunteers. Please note: the waiting list for SPRINTS, HAMMER and MIDDLE DISTANCE/ENDURANCE is closed as we are at full capacity for those events.

If you wish to join City of Norwich AC for events other than those that are full and are in School Year 7 or above, please complete this form to join the waiting list and we will do our best to accommodate you and keep you up to date with progress. At times of high demand, we may close the waiting list until we have more capacity.

Out of fairness to others, we are unable to accept enquiries via email to be added to the waiting list. We operate a 30-day free trial membership so that you can try a few sessions before committing to full membership.

Athletics 365 (School Years 5 to 6): There is no space in our Athletics 365 at the present time and therefore we are not accepting any new additions to the waiting list.

    GIFT AID

What is Gift Aid – Gift Aid is a government scheme that allows charities such as City of Norwich AC to reclaim from HMRC some of the basic rate tax you pay as a UK taxpayer.

It means that we can claim 25p of tax for every £1 you pay as a membership subscription to City of Norwich AC.

And the best bit is that it’s all at no extra cost to you! All you need to do is make a one-time CoNAC Gift Aid declaration.

New members – simply tick the Gift Aid box when they complete their initial application for CoNAC membership.

Existing CoNAC members in scope for Gift Aid – this means those who pay membership fees (volunteers & life members don’t pay) – have been sent an email by our Membership Officer containing a link to a Gift Aid declaration form.

The good news is that it should take no more than two minutes to complete the form and you’ll only need to do it once (we won’t ask you to do it every year).

The even better news is that we can make claims for Gift Aid for this year’s subscriptions paid by our members AND all such subscriptions paid in the previous four tax years! All we need you to do is complete the online declaration form and remember to press “submit”. If you were not a UK taxpayer for all of these tax years then please contact giftaid@conac.org.uk requesting a customised form.

What will happen to the Gift Aid we receive from HMRC?

Gift Aid will boost CoNAC’s income from membership subscriptions and help pay for the benefits that our members receive. These include:

    • Structured training & coaching sessions
    • Competition opportunities for all levels & abilities
    • Qualified coaches with up to date qualifications
    • Equipment for track & field training & competitions
    • Equipment for Sportshall and Athletics 365 training sessions & competitions
    • Subsidised transport and venue hire
    • Subsidised league & relay entry fees
