Callum Brown – 8th in the British Championships

Callum Brown was invited to the The British Championships at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham by UKA after reaching the qualifying distance of 64m in the Hammer Throw.

He went into the trials ranked 10^th with the remaining athletes just cm’s behind, so his main aim was to make the final 8 and get an extra 3 throws.

In the last round he was lying in 5^th with 4 athletes to throw and they all had seasons bests of 68 and 69m. He lost 2 places and went into the final in 7^th place and after a further 3 throws finished a credible 8^th in his first time at the British trials on 65m 23cm.

Callum’s next big competition is the England Senior champs and Inter Counties on 31^st July.
