14th edition: Sunday 22 October 2017, start 9am
Results for October 2016 are here
This 10k road race is based at the Norfolk Snowsports Club in Whitlingham Lane, Trowse on the southern outskirts of Norwich. The first twelve editions took place on Easter Sunday but now it’s held towards the end of October each year.
We have an entry limit of 700 and once registration opens we usually sell out in just a few weeks. Registration for our 14th edition will open on 1 August 2017 or thereabouts.
Competitors run beside Whitlingham Broad before following a two-lap route along quiet roads through the heart of Trowse and close to Whitlingham Hall. This race has become a real value-for-money event with beautiful scenery and great viewing opportunities for supporters and spectators.
We couldn’t stage this race without lots of cooperation and support from a number of organisations. Our grateful thanks go to the Whitlingham Charitable Trust, the Broads Authority, the Crown Point Estate Office, MED-PTS Ambulance Services, Norfolk Snowsports Club, St Andrew’s Church, Macmillan Cancer Support, Whitlingham Broad Campsite, Redwell Brewing and of course the residents of Trowse for helping to make this event possible each year.
The minimum age for this event is 16 years on race day. No devices with headphones or earbuds may be worn while racing.
Our Race Director is Richard Polley – please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like any further information about this event.
