On Saturday 8 January a group of young CONAC-ers were given the opportunity to be coached by Olympic gold and silver medallist Darren Campbell.
This was organized by Aviva, who are making a series of adverts promoting the 2012 Olympics; the kids were filmed over the morning running in different directions as Darren Campbell coached them and looked on.
The weather wasn’t great but the kids spirit wasn’t dampened, this was mainly down to the very friendly Darren Campbell, who was more than happy to engage with the kids, posing for pictures and signing shirts.
A great time was had by all, a big thank you to the children involved and the parents who got up early on Saturday morning to stand in the freezing cold rain.
The advertisements should be shown later this year on the national tv channels.
