Summer Saturday training for Juniors starts 1st April

Our outdoor summer season for Saturdays begins on the 1st April at the Sportspark track. These sessions run every Saturday – even during summer holidays.

  • School years 3, 4 & 5: Registration at 9.00 to 9.15, Finish at 10:45
  • School years 6+: Registration at 10.30 to 10.45, Finish at 12:00

Entry is for those who have booked a place only. A waiting list will be held for those applications over the limited number of spaces. If your child does not attend for 3 consecutive weeks, you will be sent an email advising that if they do not attend the following week without good reason, they will be removed from the attendance list and another athlete from the waiting list will be assigned that space.

A valid CoNAC membership is a condition of taking part. Membership details can be found at http://conac.org.uk/join-conac/

We ask that a parent or guardian remains within the Sportspark premises during their child’s session. We cannot accept anyone under the age of 8.

Entry to the Sportspark: All athletes must obtain a track ticket from Reception and have it with them while using the track. There is also currently a 60p entrance charge for spectators. We have had a few reports from the Sportspark that some athletes are entering trackside without a ticket. Please let that not be any of our juniors! Simply keep hold of your entrance ticket/track band.

You don’t have to take out a membership to use the Sportspark – you can just turn up and ‘Pay & Play’ when you feel like it. There are however, some Sportscard packages that give extra benefits and discounts for more regular users.

  • Junior/Educational Membership: £10 a year. Sportspark’s Junior/Educational Sportscard is available for all juniors and those in full-time education and gives a reduced price on track entry as well as other benefits.
  • Green Membership: £2 a month (for parents and guardians) – the Green Card gives you unlimited speedy access though the swipe turnstiles whenever you want.

Checking-in: Once you have paid your entrance to the Sportpark, please make your way to the track where a CoNAC registration will be taken. At the first session you will all be introduced to the coaches and leaders.

Track Etiquette: Please take a moment to read through the Track Etiquette section on our website. A coach or event leader will always be with your child on the track and will ensure they are safe at all times.

Contacts: Yvonne Newton is the lead on our Summer Saturdays training. You can contact her on 07719 815374 or academy@conac.org.uk or via the CoNAC Juniors Facebook group.

Here’s to a great summer of coaching and development!
