BWAA & City of Norwich Javelin thrower, Danny Nobbs, achieved a new British Record of 23.53m at the Northern Athletics Championships in Manchester on Saturday 11th June.
Danny, who competes in the F54 category, and is coached by Tim Newenham, is now 7th in the world rankings and is hoping to be selected for the British Team at the Rio Paralympic Games.
With a new British record to his name Danny is certainly making a strong case for selection, but because the British Paralympic Association has a limited number of places to be awarded across all the categories Danny will have to wait to see if they choose to take anyone from his category. The BPA will announce the first athletes selected at the end of June and then make another round of selections at the end of July.
Congratulations Danny on your new British record!
